The Rare Cask was introduced in 2014 as a permanent addition to the 1824 Master Series and when it was discontinued in 2018, it remained part of the portfolio and became an annual small batch release. Between 2018 and 2019 it became a thrice-annual small batch release, before switching to a single annual batch release in 2020.

This is batch #2 of the 2017 release.
